Course maps

Run course

2 laps of 5K

Your first 10km run is a two laps course of 5km per lap. The run course will take place on tarmac and shows you the wonderful nature of Almere. You’re crossing a park and also water: everything that makes our city this beautiful!

Elite/U23

Bike course

Elite/U23: 6 laps of 6.3K
Age Group: 2 laps of 20K

Elite/U23 athletes are going for a 6 laps bike ride (6.3km per round). Almost no loops, so be prepared for a high paced ride!
Age Groupers are riding two laps of 20km per round: completely flat roads on perfect tarmac and during your ride you will cross the world famous dykes of Almere. At one hand you can see the water, while you have the suburbs of our beautiful city at your other hand.

1 lap of 5K

Your second run is one loop of the same course as the first run. It’s going to be very exciting to see who is going for the World Championship victory here after the last 5km of the race!

 

*The Standard Duathlon will take place 10km outside of our city centre

Prize money

ITU Multisport World Championships will have a total prize purse of $270.000. Prize money is for the elite/pro divsion only. You must hold a pro license to qualify for prize money.
