It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we look ahead to the 2021 World Triathlon Long Distance Championships Almere-Amsterdam. In three weeks it’s time to ‘rock and roll’ and ‘our’ city then will be dominated by the world’s second-oldest triathlon from September 9 to 12. Logically, we receive many questions about COVID-19 measures and possible restrictions. What is aloud and what isn’t on the event area? Are spectators welcome? What do you have to comply with after traveling?
Below you will find a summary of the most important rules and possible changes. After that summary you’ll find a link with all the rules in detail; rules for athletes, public and volunteers. Please make sure to read this carefully.
Extra note: please know we are working very hard to finish our Athlete Guide with all race info included. Since we have to deal with ever-changing rules and regulations due to COVID-19, this took us some longer than you’re used of us. Sorry for that. You’ll receive the Athlete Guide very soon!
